Jihea Choi, cellist, serves as a principal for the Apollo Orchestra, in addition to performing with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra since 2008, for which she was recently appointed assistant principal. She performs regularly with National Philharmonic, along with the Maryland, Alexandria, and Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestras. Jihea also teaches at the Landon School and Potomac School. She received her Master of Music degree from the University of Maryland, a performer's certificate from Northern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Catholic University. Teachers include Robert Newkirk, David Teie and Marc Johnson.
